With her classic style and love of travelling to exotic destinations, this London-based blogger has big plans for 2019. Here she chats to us about how she stays inspired, maintaining a balanced lifestyle and her sweet new project.
I have a full-time job and a business to run so my typical day is always about balance. I try to start my day with exercise, followed by a powerful breakfast and a quick meditation. After work, I come home and work with my husband on our business. During weekends, we still try to work for a few hours, but we also indulge ourselves in London restaurants, cafés and wine bars. We are always on the hunt for a new place in town!
I work as a corporate accountant, which can be quite monotonous, so I balance it with the creative work I do for BAL.HONEY.
BAL.HONEY is a lifestyle brand selling high-altitude mountain honey that my husband and I started four months ago. We wanted to create a brand that would give people value and we spotted a gap in the market for good quality honey that is active which means it’s high in antimicrobial properties. We are both very entrepreneurial so BAL.HONEY is just the beginning of our future life.
We travel a lot and often people ask how it is possible. It is all about planning and being organised. We book all our holidays well in advance and we plan our whole year of travelling in January. It is very hard to pick my favourite destination, but I would say Italy, especially the Amalfi Coast, for the ultimate summer holiday experience with pasta, wine and gorgeous beaches. This is followed by Chile [a destination] that has surprised me the most and the Seychelles for a relaxing, unwinding vacation.
Our next destination is Saint-Émilion region in France. We are staying in a real French Chateau and our plan is to explore the vineyards and eat a lot of our favourite French food. As it is quite a unique destination, I will make sure to bring typical French pieces like a Chanel bag with me. I always think of my outfits in advance to make packing little bit easier. I usually opt for easy to combine pieces.
Being me is being organised, productive and passionate about what I am doing. Being me is also about feeling confident in my own skin. I exercise on a regular basis, I eat well and I always try to have a 7-8 hour night sleep. My style is more classy than casual; I prefer the classic pieces that will not go out of fashion.
My main source of inspiration is a mixture of London street trends, various magazines, Instagram and of course the Browzzin app that I have recently discovered. I love how the algorithm generates similar items to the one on the picture shared and takes you straight to their website. Magic!
My main goal for 2019 is to develop our BAL.HONEY brand into a global brand serving customers all around the world. At the same time, I would like to dedicate 2019 to self-development. I am trying to find an evening course to do; I’m thinking of brushing up on my French. I see 2019 as a very optimistic year with lots of challenges and I cannot wait to face them all.
